HIGH SCHOOL SNACK BAR CLOSED

The high school snack bar will be closed starting Thursday, June 10th through the end of the school year. Please make sure your child has a snack and lunch with him/her on those days if your child regularly uses the snack bar.

LUNCH

Since the snack bar is closed June 10, 11, 14 and 15 consider ordering lunch for your child from Lunches with Love. You can choose from several delicious options (inc sandwiches, pasta and taquitos).

Log onto luncheswithlove.com and enter our school code "St.MES".

HOT LUNCH THURSDAY

Our last hot lunch of the year will be Thursday and the lunch will be Carl's Jr. The Kindergarten class is sponsoring this event. Please make sure your order form and money is turned in no later than 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

The last day of school is Friday, June 18th. The first bell will be at 8:15 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. and dismissal will be 10:30ish.

THERE WILL BE NO ADESTE THAT DAY ON THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL.

FACTS TUITION PAYMENT PROGRAM

The FACTS Program contracts will be administered on-line this year. You who are returning DO NOT have to re-enroll with FACTS. It has been done automatically for you. If you have any changes such as bank account changes, please contact Mrs. Auer in the school office to do that. When the contracts are finalized you will be able to view them and track your payments.

The link for FACTS is now available on our school website. You will need to go to it to register your user name and password for use to view your contract after it is finalized. FACTS will email you when this is done. Payments are scheduled to begin on July 1st as usual. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Auer.

GENERAL AND TECHNOLOGY FEES FOR 2010-2011

General Fees and Technology fees for 2010-2011 were due June 1st. The general fee is $320 per child. See below for information on the technology fee. Please make sure your fees are paid this week.

Please note on your tuition and fees contract for next year that the technology fee was inadvertently not included in the total with the general fee. Please make sure you add it on for the June 1st payment: $75 per child in Grades 5-8 and $25 per child in Grades 1-4. Thank you.

The Adeste Program can be reached after school hours by calling the parish phone at 310-566-1500 and asking for extension 1615. Please mark this number down.

NO DOGS ON CAMPUS

Parents, we remind you that dogs are not allowed on campus. It is both a safety and liability concern. We love you and your dogs, but please leave them at home when you drop off or pick up your child!

LOST AND FOUND

Parents, please make time to check the lost and found before the end of the school year. There is an average of 30 sweatshirts each week, along with lunchbags and boxes, shorts, sweatpants, shirts and some non-uniform items. Anything l eft at the end of the school year will be cleared out –uniform items will go to the uniform exchange, all other items will be donated to the Salvation Army.

PLAYGROUND PARKING REMINDER

Parents, please remember that the playground is used after school for sports. If you plan on staying past 2:45 p.m., PLEASE PARK ON THE STREET. Thank you for your help and cooperation.

GREETING CARDS FOR SCRIP GIFTS

We now have greeting cards made specifically to hold gift cards. We have a nice selection for Christmas, birthdays, baby gifts, etc. and they sell for just $2.50 each. Come and see!

EMPTIES 4 CASH

Just a reminder of our on-going "Empties for Cash." Please save your empty ink jet printer cartridges (sorry but we cannot accept Epson) and turn them in to the school office. We turn them in for cash for our school programs. Thank you for your help.

UNIFORM REMINDERS

Please make sure that students wear proper socks with their shoes. As per page 25 of the Parent-Student Handbook, it states that "Only white, navy, or blue socks which appear well above the shoe are acceptable with the school uniform."

Shoelaces should be black, blue, or navy and should be kept visibly tied at all times. Hairbands worn by the girls should be in keeping with uniform colors and not ostentatious. Earrings worn by the girls should not be flashy or gaudy and MAY NOT hang below the ear. Only one bracelet and one ring may be worn. A necklace with a crucifix or cross or the student's name or initials only is permitted. Boy's dress shirts are short sleeve only.

Students may wear the white or grey polo shirt and the walking shorts any day of the school year EXCEPT for school Mass days and school picture day.

The white cotton full dress uniform blouse is worn with the girls' skirt or jumper, NOT the polo shirt.
